Ingenu has the experience
and expertise of working with many of the less common building materials, including architectural fabrics, foils, meshes, cables, aluminium, cardboard and straw. In fact, we love to work with new materials to broaden and enhance their field of applicability.
Our structures invariably incorporate other materials including timber and especially carbon- and stainless- steels
(especially complex architectural forms) and, to a lesser extent, masonry and concrete.
Understanding materials is key to their appropriate use and design and this has played a significant role in the
career development of our key staff. We are keen to carry out research on specialist construction materials, applications and components both independent of and in parallel with design
projects. And we would like to build upon our design experience in plastics and glass.
