Paul Romain
Paul graduated from Bath University in 1988 with an Honours degree in Building Engineering, specialising in Structural Engineering. After a period of traditional design at Alan Baxter & Associates in London, he
chose to specialise in lightweight tension structures.
A Teaching Company post brought him back to Bath to work for Buro Happold on software and project work. This then progressed to a management position at FTL-Happold in New York where Paul worked alongside architects
in this integrated design practice, specialising in membrane structures.
After returning from world travels, Paul took up a contract position with Landrell Fabric Engineering, a specialist tensile structure contractor, to further broaden his management and fiscal acumen.
In 1996, Paul set up Ingenu Limited as a specialist engineering design practice, and has been running this ever since. However, a very interesting year was spent at the London office of Buro Happold as an Associate
in 1999.
Paul’s efforts are now concentrated on continuing the development of Ingenu Limited and growing the Client base.
